Advertisements, logos, package design, fine art, fashion, video games, cell phone applications, internet, film, animation, book illustration, photography, road signs; These are all important aspects of our everyday lives that would not be possible without an artist or designer. There are hundreds of creative fields that a student can pursue whether they are artistically talented or just interested in being involved in a creative process. The Visual Art & Design program at Byron High School strives to prepare students to be successful in our rapidly changing visual culture. Whether the student needs a class to graduate or is genuinely interested in pursuing a career using creativity, an art class will provide the tools needed to be both a citizen capable of analyzing the visuals in their environment as well as developing artistic skills, problem solving skills, and creative thought that are exclusive to both art and non-art related fields.
